For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

The most fundamental sin in the whole human race is withholding from God, the honor due His name. Idolaters ultimately worship what God has made rather than God himself. Can you think of anything that you feel you can’t live without? Are any of your priorities greater than following & worshipping God wholeheartedly? Do you have a dream you would sacrifice everything to realize? To avoid idolatry, your heart needs to get to the point where God’s will and God’s way are the measures by which you evaluate everything else you do. It doesn’t mean other things are not important. It just means that all of life is viewed through God’s perspective.

Prayer: Our Father, who art in heaven, HALLOWED be Thy name. Amen.
