We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Do you ever feel trapped or ensnared by overwhelming odds, with heaviness of spirit grievously oppressed from the trials of life? God is always ready to help. God always provides a way out because he created all that exists. No problem leaves him puzzled; no circumstance wears him out. David compared our experience to a bird escaping the hunter’s trap. We can turn to the Creator for help in our time of need, for He is on our side. The Lord Jesus came down to earth Himself that He would break the snare, He returned to heaven, that we may fly like the doves (Isa.60:8). He may not support all our plans, but he will be by our side. God will provide a way out; we need only to trust him and look for it. Our snare is broken by the very hand of God. We have help in God’s name, in His gospel, and upon His authority. Remember when you trust God, you trust an almighty Creator, who made two great monuments of His power, out of nothing; heaven and earth. So keep committing your souls unto our faithful Creator and Father (1 Peter4:19). He will never leave nor forsake you!
