A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold.
"Guard your character and name by a godly life (v. 1). Christians must be concerned for their reputations because their lives should mirror that of Christ. We should live in such a way that no reproach is brought to the name of Christ because of our sinful behavior. Just a little folly has the power to destroy a whole life of good (Eccl. 10:1). How does a person develop and protect a good reputation?"
